Store Spotlight! Hey Everyone!

Sorry it's been so long since i've had a post, RL has really taken off in such a great way. My oldest is going to school for the first time on Monday, YAY!! Hehe okay now for SL things. There is a new furni stuff store coming out in Second Life called, Pilot! This store is headed by Kaz Nayar, and it's a 100% mesh store! So new interesting furniture/builds made from beautiful mesh, how awesome! I took the liberty of taking pics of some of the things to offer. The prices are super affordable and oh so easy to just hit pay too, hehe. Have fun shopping ladies and gents!

The Home'n'stuff Roundup!

Yes this is something new i'm TRYING to do for you all. I'll roundup any freebies/cheepies i find that have to do with home furnishings and prefabs! It can be pieces included in an overall larger sale (I'll include pics and info only on the home items though, you can always go to the wonderful Seraphim for more if they're covering the event, or i'll link to their websites if they have them so you can look at what else they have!). I'm excited to do this, and i hope you enjoy and have a junky inventory like mine full of MARVELOUS finds! =D <--scary happy face <3

These are from BagLady Designs, they are a part of the Sixty Linden weekend thing, they're still out i guess?  Well anyways they're a sweet steal for the price. I bought it up and don't know what i will do with it all. But knowing my brain i'll come up with a "camping" spot that everyone will gather at and be together :)

I really loved all of these, so i clicked the boards for the hints and was on my way to finding stuff around the store! They're all great looking furniture pieces, I especially like the beachy looking stool at the far right, as it would be great for the "summer look".

I think this house is SUPER CUTE. It's more of a tiny shed kind of thing. But goodness i saw it at the demo rezzer and thought of MANY possibilities. I LOVE working with all spaces, but small ones leave so much to the imagination on how you can fill it up, or what you can use it for. OR who you can shove in there! :p

I was about to kick someone in the face...i kept paying 50Ls to get the "rosy" couch (the long one) and i kept getting POLKA DOT BLUE >:( But it's ok i decided...ok...ok ONE MORE TIME. After FIVE TRIES i got the one i wanted! Passed the blue ones to friends! These are really cute though, great textures & the poses are cute <3

Nordari's SUPER CUTE group gift!

Really not much to say, it's SUPER CUTE (as i said above...can you tell i love it?) And it's free, who doesn't like free? I do, I REALLY like free :)

It's not SUPER cheap, but it's not a bad deal either! (150L) It's really cute, of course, well made and something you can add to that kitchen we got from Lisp for Collabor88!

Beauty of Imperfections Photo Contest!

Hello Ladies and Gents! Well I seem to have found something really cool, something that always sounds fun to me, a photo contest! Here's some important info from the NC (please read if you have ANY interest in joining, it's important :D ) :

               "Beauty of Imperfections" Photo Contest

1st Place - 3000L
2nd Place - 1500L
3rd Place - 750L

New Life was born through the love of the shabby chic style.   It says comfortable like your favorite pair of jeans, worn yet a touch of elegance, stylish but mismatched works too, romantic, vintage but easy.

Now we're looking to YOU to display your shabby chic style.   It can be a room in your house, or the soft pastel cottage garden outside or it can be that 'go to'  vintage dress and hat thats always calling you to wear when you're going out for a day of shopping or dancing.

We'll leave that up to you.   Just show us in one photograph that screams 'shabby chic.'      The content of the photograph will be judged - NOT the lay-out or presentation.   You can 'fancy' up the photograph using Photoshop or Gimp, but that is not what it will be judged on.   We are judging ONLY on your style inworld.

Contest Rules

1)  The photograph MUST have at least ONE object in it that was PURCHASED from one of the stores on New Life.   *Object:  prim or apparel*    There are lots of unique stores to choose from.

***IF there is a photography studio/business on New Life you may use them to take your photograph and that can take the place of the one object/apparel.

*Title the notecard "Photo Contest"
*MUST include your name, name of the store where you purchased the object (or the photo studio you used) AND the name of the object.   (I will confirm with the store owner myself that its their creation OR with the photo studio owner to confirm photo was taken there.)

4)   3 business owners from New Life will judge the entrants and winners will be announced on July 16th.

1st Place - 3000L
2nd Place - 1500L
3rd Place -    750L

5)  Business owners on New Life are not eligible to enter the contest and PLEASE do not use your alts either!

So yes this sounds super fun! I SERIOUSLY love trying to find that one pose, background, outfit that'll bring the whole thing together and make me that winner! So i'm sure this will be so much fun for those out there interested, you lose nothing, so give it a try!

So i've been MIA..

But i found a wonderful little tidbit for you! Doesn't that make up for it ^_^

LAQ as you know (YES the skin place) also makes HOMES & Furnishings! How magnificent is that?? Well i was so in love with all their homes, that you CAN find on their Marketplace, that i dropped in their store to see all the beautiful work up close. And i found out they had a cool chair for free as their group gift! It's a mesh armchair that is darling! It only has one sit, but meh it's about looks not sitting :p But to be quite honest the sit is more for a man, and as far as i can tell you cannot modify the sit in any way shape or form, don't be so picky when it comes to freebies though! It could be that final touch for a "look" you're going for in your home! So enjoy:

Found this store, and it doesn't seem too big. But i was quickly charmed by it. Has very cute furniture/deco and a great attitude that you see through the items sold. I took some pictures of the items available in store so you could gander and see if it's something that you'd like to drop in and visit! ALSO....This store has a replica of Carrie's apartment from Sex and the City! Oh my...i was in love. I have a secret love for the show/movies...well i just love it! Here's the photos.

So i wanted to try my hand at decorating the skybox that Barnesworth Anubis put out for Collabor88. I was kind of eh about it because, i really have issues when decorating OPEN one room spaces.
